# Website URL

Show any public website on your Inklay.

### Add the Website App

Go to your Inklay’s device view and select a button slot. Press and hold the button slot to open the app menu, then select the app.

### Set your Website URL

Set any website url. The website needs to be in the public internet.

Good to know: If you want to create your own dashboards, use the [Image URL](/inklay-docs/image-url.md) app. It alllows shorter wake up intervalls.&#x20;

### Configure the Website App

You can configure the following options:

### Advanced Settings

You can configure the following options:

| Hide page element by selector        | Use a selector to hide matching HTML elements. This can be useful for hiding cookie banners. Please read the documentation for more details.              |
| ------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Show single page element by selector | Use a selector to render only a specific HTML element. For example, you can render only a weather widget. Please read the documentation for more details. |
| Viewport width                       | Change the viewport width used to render the website. If left empty, the width of your Inklay device is used.                                             |
| Scale mode                           | Choose how the captured image fits the display. Cover fills the display and may crop the image. Contain shows the entire image and may add empty space.   |

#### How to use selectors:

1. Open your website.
2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect or Inspect Element. This opens the browser’s developer tools.
3. In the Elements panel, select the desired HTML element.
4. Right-click the element and select Copy > Copy selector.
5. Paste the copied selector into the appropriate field in the Inklay App.

### Set Active (Optional)

Set this app as the active app. The active app will update according to the configured wake up settings.
