# Image URL

Display any image (JPEG / PNG) on your Inklay by an image URL. The URL can be in the internet or in your local network. Use this app to create your very own dashboard.

### Add the Image URL App

Go to your Inklay’s device view and select a button slot. Press and hold the button slot to open the app menu, then select the app.

### Set your Image URL

Set the url. The url should point directly to a JPEG or PNG image. The url can be in internet or in your local network.

Good to know: The image is opened and parsed directly on the Inklay device. No Image data is saved or parsed on the cloud. Therefore: A Preview (via Preview-Buttons) is not available.

| Scale mode         | <p>Contain: The image will shown full-size within the display width and height. <br><br>Cover: The image will be cropped to fill the display's width and height.</p> |
| Color Quantization | <p>Dither: Best results. Takes more processing time on the device.<br><br>Rounding: Takes less processing time on the device.</p>                                    |

Set this app as the active app. The active app will update according to the configured wake up settings.
